Another ‘thank you’ to all involved in the planting group

The parish council would like to thank everyone involved with the planting group including those listed below:

  • Eric Done for organising the commemoration plaque in the old bus shelter
  • The Timpson family for providing the plaque at a greatly reduced rate
  • Tony Hall for repairing the old bus shelter guttering and downspout and putting up the plaque
  • Alan and Carol at the Red Lion pub for the donation of £300 towards the planting group
  • Barry and Sheena Stallard for donating the sandstone for the foundation of the old bus shelter rockery
  • Jamie Wright, Tony Hall, Steve Ashe and Stefan Hartley for moving the stone into place
  • Councillor Eveleigh Moore Dutton for funding 1500 daffodil bulbs and helping to plant them around the parish
  • All the residents who planted the remaining daffodil bulbs
  • Cheshire West and Chester council who will soon be planting and maintaining some Rowan and Hawthorne trees on Park Road/Mill Lane to provide a pretty welcome to the village
  • Core members of the planting group who have grown and planted flowers around the village; Hilda Bywater, Sally Gordon, Karen Hartley, Barbara Icely, Helene Kerr, Nicky Stott
  • And everyone else who has provided time and/or materials
