United Utilities have notified us that there will be major sewer improvement works going on in Little Budworth that will affect most residents. The work will start on Monday 12th January and will last for several days.
They will need to dig up the road at several locations and:
- Close the road to traffic between The Old Post Office and Church View Cottage. A diversion route will be in place for the duration.
- Excavate 3 trial holes to determine the ground conditions.
- Relay 44 metres of sewer.
- Re-bench the manhole outside of Church Cottage.
Entrances to private driveways may need to be blocked but pedestrian access will not be affected. United Utilities will also assist with any refuse collections and deliveries where necessary.
During the work, residents affected will still be able to use the water and sewage services as normal.
