From Peter Robinson , Chair of Little Budworth Parish Council

As anyone who has ever held an event knows these things are not done without help and support from many sources and I would like to place on record my thanks to the following people.

Firstly, I wish to thank Jonathan Palmer, owner of Motor Sport Vision for allowing us to use without charge the Fogarty Moss Centre, Oulton Park Race Track. Thanks also to Simon Bonser and his staff for their help prior to and on the day of the presentation. The interval refreshments were also provided free of charge.

Huge thanks to Maurice Hunt who has spent years of research and dedication to find out the true facts of the fire at Oulton Hall and months putting together this presentation; he was ably supported by his wife Jackie. Without Maurice and Jackie this presentation evening would certainly not have taken place.

Thanks to Sir William de Malpas Egerton who travelled up from Dorset and gave a short informative talk before the actual illustrated presentation.

Thanks also to Rachel Bratt for her input into producing some very stylish tickets and to my main helpers, my wife Diane and Cora Cowap as well as the helpers on the night, Tony Hall, Stuart Smith and David Robinson.

Lastly and certainly by no means least, many thanks to all of you who attended the presentation and so generously donated to the memorial fund. I am pleased to say that so far we have over £1000.00 with promises of further monies. The memorial which will be a fitting tribute to the six people, who lost their lives in the Great Fire of Oulton Hall, is now ensured. If you have not already donated but feel you wish to do so, it is not too late. Please contact me on telephone no. 01829 760445.
