The Queens Platinum Jubilee – Little Budworth

To celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee, Little Budworth Parish Council is pleased to confirm there will be various activities taking place over the Jubilee  Bank Holiday weekend.

Outline plans are shown below. Fuller details to be announced nearer the time.

Thursday 2nd June, St Peter’s Church Tower, lighting of the beacon at 9:45pm

Sunday 5th June, Vicarage Lane, Street party

  • Bring your own picnic 
  • Or order picnic boxes from The Egerton Arms or Jane K Smith Catering and possibly other suppliers (menu and price list to available nearer the time)
  • Complimentary picnic boxes will be available for primary school children 

Activities on the Green

  • Band 
  • A Right Royal Parade
    • Children’s fancy dress competition (Kings and Queens)
    • Adults – Crowns and Tiaras
  • Children’s games
  • Face painting 
  • Tree planting (as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy)
  • Cake competition/stall
  • Ice Cream Kart
  • 70 years of Little Budworth
  • Hand bell ringing

How to get involved

  • We would like photos, stories, memorabilia of Little Budworth from the last 70 years (please contact/send to Jane Simpson Tel: 01829 760377 email: jane@j-simpson.com). 
  • Fancy dress: make or buy  King/ Queen outfits for your children plus Crowns/ Tiaras for adults 
  • Make a cake for the competition and/or donate to the cake stall 
  • Loan of  trestle and/or large picnic tables
