Staff and parents at Little Budworth Pre-school were over the moon when their pre-school was judged Good in all areas when they were inspected by Ofsted in June. The small, rural pre-school is proud of the dedication and determination the staff and committee have shown to improving this long-standing educational setting over the last 18 months.
Office Manager, Alexa Carter said, “Ofsted found the pre-school to be very welcoming for children and parents, and said that both are able to develop strong relationships with the staff. We have four very caring and conscientious members of childcare staff, and the judgment is an achievement we all, as a team, have worked hard towards.”
The Ofsted inspector found the staff promoted a harmonious environment through effective behaviour management, along with being enthusiastic, motivating, proactive, alert to children’s interests, fully understanding of how to promote children’s learning effectively, very responsive to children’s individual needs, skilful at promoting further language, active in encouraging children to develop a healthy lifestyle, and fully understanding of safeguarding procedures.
Pre-school Manager, Debbie Sargeant said, “I am extremely pleased that the Ofsted inspector found the children were happy, settled in, confident, and importantly were kept safe from harm.” The inspector also found that the children at the pre-school show good concentration, focus well on tasks, engage very well in activities, play well together, know the rules for sharing and taking turns, and listen attentively.
The charity-run pre-school opens in term time from the Jubilee Hall in Little Budworth. Catherine Rayner, Chair and Trustee of the charity said, “We are all very proud of our staff for this wonderful achievement, and grateful for the ongoing support from parents, locals and The Jubilee Hall committee.”
